After getting soaked this morning on the school run in my Joules coat I've realised I need a proper waterproof. What do you all recommend??

Arteryx. Cost a small fortune unless you get them on sale but I wouldn’t buy anything else.

*Arc’teryx (darn autocorrect)

Seasalt. Jack Wolfskin.

I've got several of each and they're brilliant. Worth every penny.

Mine is a Merrell (opti-shell and opti-warm). I've had it about ten years and bought it from a Mumsnet recommendation.
It's brilliant fabric, still totally waterproof and looks smart, big hood too. It is my torrential rain walking the dog coat.

Thank you everyone, do the Seasalt ones withstand a downpour?
