I'm due at the salon at 2pm and hopefully it will be fine, So do any of you like the hair washing part? I hopefully will enjoy it today.

I love it as my hairdresser gives me a full on head massage too! I do have to have the neck support/cushion though and spend a bit of time adjusting the basin for maximum comfort.

No I hate going to the hairdressers! I tolerate it sometimes for the end result but I really dislike getting my hair washed by someone else, the head massage, spending ages looking at myself in the mirror making small talk.

I'm glad when it's over.

You seem overly anxious about this OP,what in particular is worrying you?

Just spotted you have three threads on this now! It's fine to feel anxious but better to be honest on here. Explain exactly what you're worried about if you want reassurance.

The hair wash part is the worst. I think people like to be handled in different ways and I find them rough.

There was a woman at the basin next to me last time I was at the hairdresser complaining about this.
I felt so sorry for the poor hairdresser as she was ordered to “get it over with as quickly as possible” As the client was only there for a wash and blow dry I was surprised she bothered if it was that much of a deal! I’m not the biggest fan of the whole rigmarole so just book in for a cut and blow dry every couple of months and do the rest (colour etc) myself at home. I can think of many other worse experiences though!
