Dress for 40th

I have my 40th coming up and need a dress. I'm having a daytime lunch at a fancy restaurant with around 20 friends and family.

I'm only 5ft2 and a size 12. Looking for a wrap dress or similar. Would like a sleeve and love forest green, navy and burgundy.

I want to look effortlessly chic which believe me is not effortless. Budget up to around £150.

I feel like I've searched and searched and can't find anything special.

Posted too soon, any help would be so gratefully received. Save me from wearing something awful

Thanks for those options. I can't carry off pleats for some reason but love the phase 8. I am v busty so may look v matronly but may order to try. Thanks!

Hi, have you tried the Pretty Dress Company? They do their dresses in the colours you mentioned. I'm not sure if they do a petit range but might be worth a look x

I’m quite busty too and love a wrap dress. Have you tried bravissimo? www.bravissimo.com/products/lottie-midi-dress-pd802/#wine-pd802wne

Do you have a large department store or large John Lewis nearby?

I would suggest booking the (free) personal shopper.

I did it to get a black dress for my nans funeral as I couldn't face hunting around the shop. Gave my size and rough budget and they had 3 dresses for me to try on and I bought 2. One was perfect for the funeral and one was a bit more relaxed and I kept it as a LBD and wore it at Christmas

Thanks, that's a great idea. I will look at booking a personal shopping experience.
