Who is this aimed at? Went in once and didn't "get it", what do they do well?

Me too, I don't get it either. Also, stupid name 🙄

Fast fashion. It's fancy H&M.

I like their knitwear and have some nice day dresses. What is it that you don't 'get'? I think they're a good all round daywear/casual clothes kind of place. Not super cheap fast fashion but not designer prices either.

I’m mid 40s and like their knitwear, some dresses, they sell good shoes and leather bags, I do like their stores but work in London so easy to pop in.

What do you mean you didn't get it? Do you mean you don't like the clothes they sell, so don't understand what others like about them?

I have lots of their knitwear, tops, and a few dresses. I also like their jewellery. I’m not sure what there is to “get” tbh. There are loads of shops I am not keen on but I understand they are exactly right for other people’s tastes.

My assumption is it is pitched at more boho end of posh h&m. So COS is the Japanese, minimalist, quirky cool aunt of H&M and stories is the floaty, cosy, nice skin and accessories older sister of H&M. Knitwear and skin care is all I buy from Stories. Don't like the dresses etc. I love H&M though so don't really understand why I would pay 50-100% more in stories for some of the stuff.

You mean their stuff isn’t to your taste! That’s fine, Arket and Cos are not to mine, but I really like & Other Stories!

I wear a lot of their dresses to work and the body lotion and hand washes smell divine, the scent lasts ages! I’ve had a couple of knitwear items and they’ve washed and lasted well, not bobbled under the arms etc.
I’m 35, there’s a mix of ages in the shop when I go in.

I only like their knitwear - beautiful colours and quality. I only buy in the sale as the discounts are amazing (eg I bought an 85 quid cardi for 23).

I bought my lbd, from there a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I've lost weight and my boobs try to escape. It's super flattering so I'm going to sew it closed

I like it for knits, blouses and dresses. The main difference for me between them and H&M is the material. More likely to have 100% cotton or silk pieces. Their knitwear is better quality. That's why I would pay more.
They're better for shorties like me than arket is. I'm not a huge fan of the cropped and puffed stuff they have at the moment though. Actually, nothing this year has really grabbed me.
