Great quality basics - t-shirts, knitwear, denim, coats and a good range of shoes. Quite scandi inspired, I’m mid 40s and rate them.

Like Stories and Cos, they're owned by H&M and it's supposed to be the more adult, high quality version chain.

Nitgel · 25/09/2021 19:08

another expensive high street brand that's a bit meh imo

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 25/09/2021 19:18

Arket do really excellent knitwear in my experience. Yes, it is more expensive than eg Zara but it washes and wears beautifully. They do an alpaca cardigan which is just perfect and I own in multiple colour ways, some of which are about three years old but still look brand new. (I machine wash on a wool cycle.)

neverbeenbetter · 25/09/2021 19:41

Yes! I saw that alpaca cardigan online and wondered about it...

The quality is good and styling a bit more 'grown up'. You can pull together a similar look (but slightly cheaper) if you shop the H&M premium line and choose fabrics carefully.

MapleMay11 · 25/09/2021 20:26

You're definitely not missing out. Very 'high street' - dull and uninspiring.

Milomonster · 26/09/2021 11:25

I’ve only ever bought kidswear. The quality and designs are beautiful compared to the usual crap on the high street. I really love their stuff (same with Other Stories knitwear - owned by same group).

Blankspace4 · 26/09/2021 11:26

They do some nice quality basics. It’s not exciting though. I prefer Stories for colour / prints

Snailhaterz2 · 26/09/2021 13:03

They seem to have gone in two directions with their latest range - it is either really really casual/gym wear or very office.

Mercurial123 · 27/09/2021 06:57

I love COS but have never seen anything in Arket I liked enough to purchase.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/09/2021 07:05

Good quality t shirts and t shirt dresses. Most of it is too long and droopy for me. Sizing is bonkers and inconsistent so I’d never order online.

torquewench · 27/09/2021 07:12

I've just had a look at the website. Seems full of boring, dull coloured, shapeless, oversized stuff. I Don't think I'm missing out on anything special by not knowing about this store

lurkingfromhome · 27/09/2021 07:38

Quality is excellent. Knitwear looks expensive and is really well cut. I have a pink jumper from there that I love and always gets compliments. I also always buy my basic T-shirts from there as the cut and quality are great and they still look good after a million washes.

It's true that it might not be the most exciting range out there but for good-quality knitwear & basics I really rate it.

Djjf28dhs · 27/09/2021 07:42

I think their stuff is nice but I am 5.4 and I find that most of their trousers, skirts and dresses too long for me, not just in length but everywhere else as well. If I was say 5.7 the I'd definitely get all my stuff from their.Having said that Cod and Arket often just blur into one for me

Pigtailsandall · 27/09/2021 08:40

Their t-shirts are excellent. They actu6fit well and look structured. Plus they are soft.
I also have a knitted dress and a jumper, both which wear really well despite having gone through the washing machine several times.
