Carole Middletown’s jeans

Sorry, failing to perform a link on this device, but in the DM today there is a profile of Carole Middleton at 66 and she has on a very nice-looking pair of jeans. I wonder if anyone could point me in the direction of where one could buy such jeans.

Dd informs me that skinny jeans are now an absolute no-no (plus I am not stick of leg) and CM’s jeans look quite flattering.

Don't like the jeans but have long thought that CM is more attractive and animated than her daughter!

I can't help but like a council flat girl from Southall whose grandson will one day be king!

Why do posters feel the need to say that the Middletons need to work at their figures? They are obviously naturally tall and slim, and they are sporty.

Because her brother is fat, if it's natural and runs in the family why is he fat?

@KirstenBlest tbh I would assume anyone who looks like they do has to work pretty hard at it, not many people are naturally that slim or fit (they aren't just slim/skinny, they have toned figures too).

Those jeans seem really old fashioned to me and make her seem older.

I don't know how she could 'look older', she's 66 and looks amazing! Those jeans are fashionable, even if you don't find them flattering.

Mind you, I stepped out in my (quite) skinny jeans with a pair of 2 inch heels on today and no-one fainted due to my lack of fashionability...I felt ace! I still prefer close fitting styles, although I have recently bought some pale denim jeans which are not my usual thing but my kids tell me are very 'in' and also I purchased some flares...so I am trying to break my skinny dependence....

Kate was very slender through all three of her pregnancies apart from the bump, and given that you really aren't in control of where you gain weight in pregnancy, that does suggest that she's genetically that way.

Those jeans most certainly aren't "really old fashioned".

As for body types running in a family, I'm one of 5 girls. 3 are naturally lean, one is tall and then there's me - short and not lean! They're are all flat chested and I'm a 30G.

I imagine that she and her daughters are very careful about what they eat. They probably don’t consider it to be “working hard to stay slim” - it’s just second nature to them now.

They look after themselves and look good - mind you, always a bit easier if you have housekeepers, cooks and personal trainers.

I think that was about the time of the wedding, I remember that and that they did loads of exercise and the two white lines in the family crest they designed were to do with sports and skiing.

I know lots of slim outdoorsy people, who don't to my knowledge, 'work' at being that way. Most of my relatives are tallish and slender, and always have been that way.

Prince William is tall and slim, he doesn't get accused of having to work at it.

I would guess that having tall slim good-looking parents might be why Catherine and Philippa are tall slim and attractive.

I don't blame her for dieting before the wedding, millions of eyes on her. She looked lovely in the blue.

He's a touch portly around the middle, I grant you, but "fat" is a gross exaggeration. He's also not her identical twin, so.

I don't even have a dog in this fight, I don't give much of a shit about Carole or Kate or any of the pseudoroyals, but Carole looks great for 66 to me, and I'd be happy to look the same at her age, even if God forbid I have to make an effort to eat a healthy balanced diet to achieve it.

She turned vegan a few years ago. And she's sporty.

I imagine vegan + sporty keeps you pretty trim.

I’m the same shape as CM at nearly the same age —not quite as well dressed—. My brothers have become heavier probably due to pastries and beer.

I have a very similar (maybe exact) pair to the frayed edge ones from Boden last summer (2020) and I know the Middleton ladies do wear a lot of Boden.

@OllyBjolly me too I'm 61 5ft 2 size 10/12 my two sisters 8 years and 16 years older both around a size 18 /20 same height , I am a vegetarian and love a slice of cake now and then.
