Anyone else still buying Hush??

I used to be a regular on the ‘ Hush ‘ threads probably 3 plus years ago and then we moved house, ( v expensive) it became widely available in JL ( which tbh put me off for a bit) and pretty much bought nothing.
I bought a halter neck this summer, but going into the autumn decided some of my wide neck tops had seen better days, so ordered a new one. Since then I’ve ordered 3 jumpers, a skirt and a dress, so rekindled my affinity with them.
Still love my Nana jumper and Tara dress.
Names I remember from the old threads are @Ellapaella and @Laskameryls.
Anyone else still a Hushista ? Smile

Bought a few things - the latest harems were flimsy - still bought them but regretted it. Bought a pair of their leather joggers recently- totally love them!

I’ve bought quite a few dresses from Hush over the last couple of years and have no complaints, they wash well, don’t need ironing. I’ve got t shirts from Hush that are about 7 years old and still look good. Knitwear has been hit and miss though.

I like Whistles and Mango too.

Toast is all a bit waistless for me but Brora on the other hand….god wish I was rich.

EllaPaella · 26/09/2021 07:56

@Nearlyadoctor yes I am still by the coast up north. If I remember right you were doing a big move? Is that right or have I imagined it?
I will definitely check out the new collection, I love A/W the most for Hush.

Ponks · 26/09/2021 08:41

I have only just found Hush in the last year, have bought a few things. Like a lot of the looks and even considering a dress , which is far out of my comfort zone Smile.

Nearlyadoctor · 26/09/2021 08:43

@EllaPaella - yes you’re right, we moved although not far so still in E Devon ( if I remember you often come on holiday to N Devon) by the coast, but needed to do do major renovations on the new property. All finished now except the garden but that will wait its liveable.
Hush spring / summer never really appeals although I have bought the Albee dress and still wear my Emmanuel one from a few seasons back.
Star jeans are still going strong too Smile

I really wanted to love Hush but everything I bought from them had to go straight back as the quality was so diabolical - “knitwear” so thin you could read a newspaper through it!

Sooverthemill · 26/09/2021 10:48

@imstilljenny2 yes £12 is a lot but tbh many of the smaller independent brands in uk charge £8. Returns are free via collect plus. Sizing is a bit haphazard. If you join Sézane addicts or Sézane IRL on Facebook you can see pictures of people wearing stuff snd ask sizing questions. I am 8/10 and tend to order XS or 36 but sometimes S/38. Blouses are often oversized. You can’t do exchanges ( Covid) but orders come fast. I ordered a ka last Sunday that arrived Tuesday

Sooverthemill · 26/09/2021 11:00

I ordered a dress from hush last night. I'm trying to work out if I can wear dresses in the winter - I really don't go out and inside in the dark feels a bit dressed up in a dress but I've ordered this though I think it will go back.

Went through a spell of being quite into it years ago but haven't bought a single thing in a few seasons. The styling on the website used to get me every time but even that looks shit these days.

imstilljenny2 · 26/09/2021 12:22

@Sooverthemill didn't realise there are Sezanne FB groups. I'll join them thanks

Sooverthemill · 26/09/2021 12:26

@imstilljenny2 see you on there!

StormyTeacups · 26/09/2021 18:28

Do they still do the friend discount/money off code? Referrals? Am after a code if anyone has one

Noapplejustcrumble · 26/09/2021 18:32

@Nearlyadoctor I’ve just started my own thread, but just bought the Simone Slinky Skirt too and wondered if you have washed it yet, as the label says dry clean only. Is it ok in a delicates wash ?

Nearlyadoctor · 26/09/2021 19:01

@StormyTeacups - I’ll pm you

Thank you @nearlyadoctor

All looks a bit over priced and bland which seems to be a favourite with the MNet crowd.
Also see Boden

trama · 26/09/2021 19:22

People on here rave about it and I have a couple of bits which are nice, but they charge SO MUCH for polyester and I just can't understand why.

Nearlyadoctor · 26/09/2021 19:24

@Noapplejustcrumble- I only received it on Friday so haven’t actually worn it yet. I never dry clean anything though so I will chance it on a very delicate wash as and when.

So the answer to the OP is 'I never have' then? Why do people just jump on to make statements like this. You go off and buy from elsewhere , dear
FANTINE2 · 27/09/2021 16:00

@WanderingTrolley1

No. Much of it is poor quality shite.
I agree. Awful!
