Zara Marine Jeans

Just bought a pair of these. They need shortened as I am only 5ft 3. Question 1 is what to wear with them. Question 2 is shortened to what length? Question 3is will they look mutton dressed as lamb? I am a youngish looking 52...

I think like the model you need to wear a tight top, tucked in, black or white or maybe a pastel shade. I'm presuming your jeans are the sane colour as the link? And get them shortened to the length they are on the model.

I'm fairly short in the leg and proportionally broad shouldered so they wouldn't look great on me. I rarely have to shorten my clothes, so I'm not sure if my legs are short. Maybe it's my overall shape that makes them look short.
The no lack of side pockets would mean I wouldn't buy them.
