Feel like I have nothing to wear?

Does anyone else ever feel like they have nothing to wear? All I have are the same dowdy tunic style tops with leggings. I used to have loads of nice tops and dresses but I decided I wouldn't wear them and had huge culls. I've got barely any tops that go with jeans other than t shirts. Hardly any smart clothes.
Is it just me that feels this way?

I always feel like this. I wear the same jeans and sweatshirt constantly. It's depressing! For me it's partly due to being a mum and living rurally and partly because I don't like my body. So I am trying to lose some weight and then go shopping.

When I have a cull I tend to get rid of some stuff I don't wear, yes, but keep nice good quality clothes if I still like and fit them even if I don't currently wear them because I hope there'll be another opportunity in the future. If you hate your tunics then get rid. I agree runic and leggings is likely to look dowdy. Maybe keep the nicest one. Can you afford to buy a couple of new things?

Could you switch it up a bit and wear dresses and tights? Then gradually move on to bare legs or natural tights? Maybe also try jeggings with long line t shirts? Subtle changes but a bit less 'boring'! Once you're used to the jeggings try proper jeans.

Sorry, I kind off didn't answer the original question and answered a, completely different one! 😂
I see what you mean, yes I tend to live in the same jeans and tshirts. It's so dull, but I've recently moved and had to get rid of so many clothes. I've been buying dresses recently and plan to restock my wardrobe each month. Buying a few additional things until I feel happy with it. Nice tops are a must.

Might be worth really figuring out what you already own and then seeing where the gaps are? No point in buying things just for the sake of it, especially as we’re in between seasons/weather.

Something like a 10x10 challenge might help you see what already works? You choose ten items of clothing and make outfits out of just those for ten days. I’ll attach a photo.

Those are not mine by the way, just some I found on IG!

Not heard of the 10x10, thanks for the tip @TwooThirty. Feel like our weather isn’t great for this but might give it a go once we hit winter.

@namechangedaily You mention not having smart clothes but do you actually need these? I think part of the trick is to assess your lifestyle and buy accordingly. Or certainly to buy things that can do more than one thing, eg a jersey blazer can be smart for work but is easy to dress down. It sounds more like you are bored of your ‘uniform’. Could you shorten some of the tunics and get some skirts/bottoms to go with them? I wear the same ‘uniform’ every day as I have a very awkward figure to dress and it suits me but don’t get bored as I wear different combinations of colours, and have different scarves, jewellery and shoes.
