What season am I? Deeply puzzled

So I’d like to know which colour palette works best for me, especially now I’m a bit older/washed out.
I’ve done umpteen online questionnaires and got umpteen answers.

I am very pale, almost see-through (!), with definitely pink and blue undertones (not a trace of yellow).
I have grey-blue eyes, definitely ‘cool’. My hair however is a reddish blonde, which is ‘warm’.
Does my warm hair trump my cool eyes and skin?
Any advice very gratefully received!

Sounds similar to me - I’m a cool summer

Phyllis321 · 23/09/2021 09:09

Thank you!
Some websites say that any warm feature should dominate which is what’s confusing me.

I've got similar colouring and I'm a wintery spring. More springy in the summer when I have freckles and more wintery in the winter when I'm very pale.

Some good articles here

You sound a bit like Nicole Kidman. She is described as a 'warm spring'. Here's the first thing I came across a guide to the colour analysis.

Phyllis321 · 23/09/2021 09:36

God, I wish I looked like Nicole Kidman Grin.

This is me. My hair is dyed but only slightly brighter than my natural colour.

The photo reminds me a little of Amy Adams. She’s a spring.

BlijEi · 23/09/2021 15:38

You might very well be a spring but the most important thing is your skin. That's why at color analysis they cover up your hair with a gray/white cloth. There are cool and warm versions of all colors, including copper hair so it's very possible to be cool or warm with red hair, it's really dependant on your skin undertone

NotMyCat · 23/09/2021 15:56

Same. I'm cool toned with blue undertones, n eyes and red hair. I've been told all 4 seasons!

JMAngel1 · 23/09/2021 16:07

It’s so confusing isn’t it.
One thing that really helped me was does silver or gold jewellery suit you best?
If silver, you’re cool.
If gold, you’re warm.
If you suit both equally, you could be neutral?
Then it comes down to contrast - if you have hair/eyes that stand out a lot compared to your skin, you would be winter if cool and autumn of warm.
If low contest, you would be summer if cool and spring if warm.
This is prob too simplistic but it’s the eSiest way for me to think about it Grin

Phyllis321 · 23/09/2021 16:31

Thanks everyone. I’m starting to think I might be neutral!

I have something similar. I have pale blue/pink undertoned skin and very dark eyes but my hair is reddish brown! I can never decide if I’m winter or autumn.

It’s interesting that a PP says skin is most important. I always thought I was cool/a winter, and I think I look best in jewel tones, but all the online guides say if you have reddish hair you must be warm. Confused

Online guides are very misleading imo and famously miscategorize darker skin tones/asian skin/olive skin etc based on hair and eye color. Obviously I'm not a real life color analysis expert but I have been to 6-7 across 3 countries (for other people not myself) and in all but one the hair was covered and they focused on skin tone.
lurkingfromhome · 23/09/2021 20:55

I’m similarly confused. Have cool toned skin that freckles (never tans), cool dark blue eyes but my brown hair has definite red in it, it’s not ashy at all, and looks very red in strong sunlight.
I really don’t suit all the autumn colours, though - mustard, khaki, rust, brown, orange all look terrible on me. I feel I must be a summer.

Whybirdwhy · 23/09/2021 21:02

You look like a warm spring to me

MrsPsmalls · 23/09/2021 23:50

Definitely look like a spring to me

Tatapie · 27/09/2021 02:48

Spring. Maybe light spring , you remind me of Emma Stone

MistySkiesAfterRain · 27/09/2021 02:55

I'm brown hair, brown eyes but pale skin and freckles. Because of the freckles I always thought autumn but the rich warm shades wash me out.
But the freckles make me look quite blended.

Anyway I worked out I was summer, and most closely shaded summer, or Soft Cool Deep.

I found the website Your Colour Style to be the most useful in terms of figuring out my colours.

Frauhubert · 27/09/2021 08:50

So pretty Blush

StellaAndCrow · 27/09/2021 11:46

You have beautiful colouring!

Phyllis321 · 27/09/2021 18:57

You are too kind. Smile Obviously I chose a flattering picture Grin.

I’m going to explore spring colours. They look more ‘me’ than the other seasons.
Thank you everyone. Flowers

My colouring is similr but my skin is a tad yellow. For years I assumed I was an autumn but I look pretty rubbish in most of those colours, really washed out and blah.

Turns out warm spring colours look amazing on me, I don't look dead any more! Grin

Well I don’t have any colour expertise but I think someone as pretty as you can get away with any colour.

Phyllis321 · 27/09/2021 20:36

That’s very kind Flowers
