Can I get an honest opinion?

I really need a new pair of warm, waterproofing boots for winter as spend 2 mornings a weekend watching DC play football and rugby.
I currently have some quite worn out Merrell boots which have seen better days and am getting embarrassed by but are £££
I've seen these which are a lot less and I think are quite nice, but I think it's an old lady shoe brand (I'm mid forties). Before buying them I just wanted some honest opinions, I was thinking of probably the taupe but possibly the grey or olive. I'm not keen on the lining on the other boot colours.
Many thanks!

I second snowboots as suggested by Mrs @MrsVeryTired
I bought some from the next sale last year and they're not very attractive but sooo warm.

I love wearing my snowboots in the winter with skinny/slim jeans, I pretend I'm a cool scandinavian, they love their snowboots (sensible people!)

I would quite like those if they were real leather or suede, but they're "other" and my experience with non leather boots is that they can kind of delaminate if they get very wet.

I can recommend Decathlon for warm boots that are easy on budget.

Search for 'warm and waterproof boot' on their site.

I think the black pair are the best but agree with snow boots, bought a pair half price at £50 in the January sales about 3 years ago and were a great buy, would pay full price now if I had to replace as been well used last few winters X

The olive is nice. I’m a football mum too and find wellies a bit unnecessary for a short walk across short grass. I spent years buying ones like these boots and they all fell apart now I have a pair of timberland boots and they are perfect look for a second hand bargain to try them out before spending big money though.
