Anyone else get an email today about Beauty Pie Plus?
I’ve had a brain melting day at work and can’t figure it out!
Help!

Yep. I think the idea is you pay more upfront so that you just get a yearly allowance rather than a monthly one so you can do more bulk ordering?

teawamutu · 21/09/2021 22:45

Exactly that - £59 for the year and a £3,500 annual allowance (compared to the tenner a month/£150 pm allowance I was on).

I went for it, been a member for three months and only thing I didn't love was the stupid buying restrictions.

PrancingQueen · 22/09/2021 07:02

Ah ok, thanks.
I must say, the annual allowance looks very tempting, I just hope they sort out their stock issues.

No I used my credit and won't be upgrading.
Their skincare is good but not great. I will probably close my account.

HH76ds31 · 27/10/2021 16:04

I've just signed up for the 1 month free trial period, and I would love some recommendations of products that are worth getting.
Otherwise I'm in danger of being sucked in by their attractive website/marketing Blush.
There doesn't seem to be a spend limit, but I might be wrong as I didn't read the smallprint properly. I am low on every product going, especially make-up, so it's an ideal time for me to stock up.

247SylviaPlath · 27/10/2021 17:36

Signed up a fess months ago and loving:
Candles
Under eye brightener (even better than the Becca one)
Their eyeshadow sticks (as good as Laura mercier ones)
Lip oils and sheer lipsticks - both are now daily use things
Angled concealer brush - makes massive difference to how my undereye looks
Foot cream - boring but essential
Their fig perfume £20 for £100ml - doesn’t last long but almost nothing does on me and at that price I just respray

Hope that helps @HH76ds31

247SylviaPlath · 27/10/2021 17:37

Sorry that list is long - I have splurged but enjoyed 90% off what I’ve got

HH76ds31 · 28/10/2021 16:18

Wow thanks 247SylviaPlath!

I’ve ordered much of what is on your list, will be interesting to see if the colours suit me but at least it’s not a huge amount on any one item if it doesn’t suit.
I haven’t ventured into fragrance or candles yet - already planning another order,,,

How do you get a free trial ? I couldn’t see that on the site . Thanks
247SylviaPlath · 28/10/2021 22:50

Hope you love what you get - the whole packaging of everything is beautiful too, it’s a really nice shopping experience, let us know how you get on and any new recommendations (I definitely need a no spend January !) they’re releasing their Christmas gifts soon too so looking forward to their new chocolate and mint candle and silk eye mask before I try and reign in my spending Blush

HH76ds31 · 29/10/2021 07:47

MoriaRoseForever I received the offer via email as I’d signed up for news/updates a few weeks ago when I was toying with the idea of subscribing. Not sure if it’s still available…

Thanks. I’ll try that . Curious to try them.
HH76ds31 · 29/10/2021 14:21

My box arrived today, really beautifully packaged. I have tonnes of work that I need to complete today so I've only allowed myself to open two items so far (eye shadow stick and concealer). Concealer seems too pale for me, but might work later in the winter - am just back from some winter sun. This is the risk with buying online I guess. Pity they don't do samples. Eye shadow stick went on really smoothly so impressed with that.

redroses86 · 29/10/2021 17:38

I’d be more tempted with this tbh. I left after the stupid spending limits meant I couldn’t get what I needed each month.
I’ve never been a fan of their completely made up RRP prices (£75 for a body cream?!) so at least this stops that.
I like their skincare.
I think their make up is rubbish, I wouldn’t bother. The long lasting eyeliner didn’t even last the morning and the lip colours are dreadful.
They do well at making their palettes look like Charlotte Tilbury ones but the eyeshadows and bronzers rubbed off instantly.

HH76ds31 · 29/10/2021 17:46

I’m a complete novice/useless with make up so I see this as a way of trying stuff without breaking the bank. Having said that I also ordered an eye shadow cream thing from Trinny for the first time, and it arrived today as well, following rave reviews by a friend of mine, so will be interesting to compare. The price difference is huge!

redroses86 · 29/10/2021 18:44

The price differences can be big, I do agree. But bare in mind the £60 membership + P&P every time too. Your potentially adding a fiver on to each item, depending on what how much order.

HereticFanjo · 29/10/2021 18:50

I think they are absolute robbers tbh and wouldn't recommend them at all.

HH76ds31 · 29/10/2021 19:07

HereticFanjo would you mind sharing what products you've tried (and presumably didn't like) - will help me avoid any complete duds. I haven't paid an annual fee and might not stay on past the first free month, but I am likely to do another bulk order before the trial is up.

Journeynotdestination · 29/10/2021 19:24

I’ve given up with them. I almost rejoined to get the one powder wonder which is great, but with P&P at almost £4 and having used up my limit just buying that I decided to go buy one from Boots. I’ve tried the skincare & bodycare and was really disappointed. Packaging is great but the products were a bit meh for the price point.

ApricotShandy · 29/10/2021 19:36

I really rate them. Skincare is all good, though the only makeup I have from them so far is the gel eyeliner and the under eye genius brightener stuff. I like them both a lot.

doadeer · 29/10/2021 19:50

There are two skincare products I love.

The serum and the oil (pics)

I have dry tenancy skin and absolutely love these I've repurchased both multiple times.

I liked the Vitamin C serum.
Stay away from the shower/body oil that sounds like an aromatherapy associates dupe. It’s dreadful, the smell is gone in seconds. And the body scrub, also awful.

WeRateSquirrels · 29/10/2021 21:34

My favourites are:

One powder wonder
Lip oils
Body cream
Vitamin C body lotion
Sheer lip crayons
Apricot cleanser (green jar)
Super healthy skin moisturiser
Candles

There’s some weirdness - I’ve had the face oil for over a year and it’s still only a quarter gone. A much smaller bottle and lower price would be more sensible.

The oxygen face mask thing burnt my face off and the Japan Fusion range is incredibly heavily fragranced with a strange, old fashioned perfume.

HKI83vcWA · 16/11/2021 10:41

I signed up for a one month free trial with beauty pie and I'm soon approaching decision time as to whether to subscribe.
It's been a bit hit and miss for me.
I'm not too keen on the tinted spf moisturiser which I had high hopes of, it doesn't glide on like I had hoped. Feels somewhat grainy on my skin. I will probably leave it at work for emergencies. The concealer was way too pale unfortunately. The face moisturisers seem fine, nothing to write home about but for the price I'm very happy with them as I'd normally spend £40 on a night cream alone. The eyeshadow sticks are good. And the undereye thingy is nice, though I probably expected too much of it!
I think I will order a few more bits and pieces to keep me going, but I'm going to spend what I would have spent on the annual membership fee on the Trinny BFF skin perfector + destress instead, both of which I recently sampled and was blown away by.

iwouldcastrateyouandmarryyou · 16/11/2021 10:44

I've pretty much ported all my skincare over to Beautypie. Absolutely love it.

Over the last couple of years I've tried loads of stuff and now stick to my favourites.

Even the nail varnishes are taking over my much loved Nails Inc ones
