Protected species

I'd like to order one of the Protected Species parkas as I don't have a winter coat that is waterproof. I'm not sure whether to go for the winter parka or just the parka and was wondering if anyone had either of these? I'd like a waterproof coat that is going to be warm when I'm doing the school run and going for dog walks in the winter. I'm not sure if the parka is enough. Thank you.

The parka is a very lightweight waterproof coat - it definitely wouldn't be warm enough for winter weather. I sometimes wear mine with a Uniqlo ultralight down gilet underneath on slightly colder days.

I don't know how padded their winter parka is, sorry.

I've got both. The winter one has a microfleece lining. I live in Cumbria and it does me for all except the very coldest days. I do wear a scarf/hat/gloves though.

I have the regular parka and a commuter. I wear them with a wool jumper underneath in winter and hat/scarf. The jumper keeps me warm and the parka keeps me dry!

I have the commuter and whilst I love it, it's definitely not a winter coat without a fleece or uniqlo lightweight down jacket underneath. So if you already have one of those you'd be happy to wear with it on cold days, save money and buy the regular parka

Thank you. I think I might go for the normal
Parka that I can layer things underneath as required and then go for a separate warmer waterproof coat for winter.
