Hit 40 and changed shape!

Had a little try on of my winter clothes this morning and I've realised how much my body has changed shape!! . I managed to lose my lockdown weight gain and my frame is quite petite but my stomach area is still bigger and I've definitely got bigger hips. Most of my skirts won't fit and I will have to go up a dress size for my bottoms even though I eat healthy and have stopped all the snacking and the wine!
I'm early 40s, have I entered the "middle age spread" era of my life? Has anyone else found this has happened to their body shape? It's so depressing 🤣

Following. I'm seeing the same.

Yes mine started at 40 or so. I thought I ate healthy too 😂

Now I eat really, really healthily. There’s no phoning it in for some of us.

This happened to me in my late 30s. Lost all the pregnancy/newborn bingeing on sugar due to no sleep weight, and realised that even though I was the same weight as before, my shape was completely different. A tummy, I was deeper in the body (so if you looked at me from the side, there was more of me from front to back. I think my rib cage expanded), wider feet and back fat.

I am now heavier, but have stayed the same shape.

Mine started at menopause, I've been lucky always been slim around 8stone when younger 8st10lb in my 40s and 50s, now at 61 around the 9 stone mark I am only 5ft2, but the little extra weight definitely started at the menopause, mind you I did take early retirement at 55 so that could have something to do with it, I try to keep active buy walking and gardening.
