A crumpled mess - is this normal?

I was lucky enough to have a bit of spare money and after a hard 2 years I wanted to buy myself something really nice for a change. So I chose a lovely cream shirt for just over £150. What arrived was a crumpled mess, not at all nicely packed. I was so looking forward to something a bit special but honestly I’ve had better presented clothes from Next and Uniqlo!

I don't think it's normal for that price but you don't mention where you got it from so it's hard to say.

Where was it from? I've noticed some places just just screw it up on a hanger and chuck it in the bag. Mind you, it's not all bad because I can then see how badly it creases.

LK Bennet - no hanger, just flung into a box.

I love LKB but think elements like this have really gone downhill over time. Their stuff used to arrive beautifully boxed and sometimes still does, but equally can often turn up like you’ve described. I do think some fabrics crease easily though and that can be a good sign that your blouse isn’t overpriced polyester...!

I'd write to customer service and complain. Include photos if you can.
Most retailers want the whole buying process to be a positive experience, and this is unacceptable from any store, let alone one of the price point you mention. An eBay buy - just about ok (though people are taking a lot of care then too), a well known high street retailer? Not good enough.

I'd send it back. £150 is expensive for a blouse. Least they can do is deliver it properly.

I find it happens when I order in the sale. I just received a MaxMara coat from Flannels. It was just shoved in the bag and arrived very creased. It was ok though as it cost nearly £200 less than Matches.

Thanks- I wouldn’t have minded so much if it had been a sale item. I may send it back. Perhaps silly but it has sort of taken the shine off what was supposed to be a special treat.
