Is this OK for wedding guest?

I'm not a dressy person, except long ones in summer. I'm off to my cousins wedding in a couple of weeks for ceremony and reception. This is the only dressy dress I have. Yay or nay?
Also, any good sites for plus size dresses that aren't expensive? Can't afford more than about £30

Definitely, looks lovely Grin

Labalabee · 18/09/2021 18:52

Yep, it looks fab. Perfect!

TeamSpike · 18/09/2021 20:56

Oh good! What colour shoes would you put with it! I won't be doing high heels! Maybe small kitten heels or flats.

I love the colour!
Thumbs up from me!

happypet · 18/09/2021 21:01

I think I'm a similar size/shape to you. I love the 3/4 arm length, but the skirt is fairly short, and a V neck would be far more flattering on the bust. If you feel comfortable in it though, that is all that matters.

glasshalfsomething · 18/09/2021 21:01

Would you add a belt? Black belt and black shoes could really work.

Bearnecessity · 18/09/2021 21:02

Looks lovely would go great with some buff/mink shoes and gold accessories.

Bobsyer · 18/09/2021 21:17

I would wear black ballet slippers with those. I don't think a heel would really go.

Rainbowqueeen · 18/09/2021 21:19

It’s lovely. I’d also do black shoes and maybe a black wrap

worrybutterfly · 18/09/2021 21:22

Lovely dress and definitely wedding suitable.

Only thing I would say is it looks quite short to me, could be the angle of the photo though. I don't mean unflattering short, you look lovely in it. Just make sure you do a 'bend' test before you go out to make sure you're not going to flash people if you need to pick something off the floor.

Sparkletastic · 18/09/2021 21:23

It looks more like a clubbing dress than a guest at wedding guest tbh.

UnsolicitedDickPic · 18/09/2021 21:28

I'm quite booby and personally I think a v-neck would work far more effectively. Colour looks gorgeous though. Smile

AndTime · 18/09/2021 21:30

I think it looks suitable, love the colour and would style it with either gold sandals (doubt the weather will permit though) or nude shoes.

TeamSpike · 18/09/2021 21:34

Thanks all. I was a bit worried it was too short. I don't normally wear anything above the knee! I'm looking at some on boohoo. I like wrap dresses and prefer a v neck to show off the girls 😂 I just hate my stomach and this style hides it nicely

Hohofortherobbers · 18/09/2021 21:37

I love it, I'd wear nude kitten heels with it, no ankle strap though, don't shorten your legs

Or something like this would be better? Sorry I'm no good at dresses!

Love this one op. Lovely colours

BrilliantBetty · 18/09/2021 21:54

Love the bright colour! But not sure the neckline/ shape is showing you off at your best. It is a slightly awkward length. That said, if it's the best you've got it will do just fine.
No idea what I'd go for re shoes... tricky one!

Hope you enjoy the wedding

FatLarrysBand · 18/09/2021 22:01

I hate the neckline, but crewnecks only look good on the small of boob, so eff knows why 80% of tops and dresses are made with them. I'd try to find a 'v' but the dress in general looks bloody good on you. Nice colour.

TolkiensFallow · 18/09/2021 22:03

I think it’s great!

Mummyoply · 18/09/2021 22:03

There are lots of sales on at the moment, this one from Monsoon is a V-neck and there are others in the sale. Getting a sale dress like this means you can afford a better quality fabric and cut and will really elevate your outfit Smile

Or there's this one for an extra £15 if you can stretch your budget a little

You are a hourglass with great legs, sorry that dress is the wrong shape for you. Something more fitted with a v neck would look amazing
