Mini Boden style leggings in adult sizes?

SeaShoreGalore · 18/09/2021 18:38

My DD is 13 and 5'8" - she absolutely loves the mini Boden style leggings, lots of bright colours and applique, but obviously they are far too small for her these days. Most multi coloured leggings I can find for adults are in that shiny athlesure fabric, which she doesn't like.

So I thought I would see if anybody any suggestions for mini boden style, brightly coloured leggings, but in adult sizes?

Frugi have a couple of adult styles but expensive! www.welovefrugi.com/grown-ups/women/new-in/grown-ups-libby-leggings_3.htm

Oh they are gorgeous @evenstar, I am looking for something similar for my DD who is 9 but needs age 11 ish due to being very tall. They're so expensive though! Shock she wore a pair of leggings a few weeks ago & got a massive hole in the knee the first time she put them on... I wish more kids clothing ranges would cater for taller children. It's a big gap in the market.

@LegoCaltrops this company have lovely colourful leggings up to a 12-13 www.kite-clothing.co.uk/products/animal-ramble-leggings-blue-13

Oh my god, those frugi ones in turquoise are PERFECT - expensive, but I will get her them for Christmas - she will literally not believe her eyes! Thank you so much, so glad I posted.

Just one thing about the frugi leggings- they are very generously sized!

I have a pair and despite being a solid size 12 everywhere else, I could easily wear their size 10s.

I’ve seen some women who usually wear 6-8 being able to wear the biggest children’s size if that gives you even more options?

Shantotto · 18/09/2021 20:35

A lot of the larger kids sizes in the scandi brands such as Duns and Maxomorra will fit smaller adults so worth trying those. Again bit pricey but super soft and gorgeous with a thriving second hand market and can easily be found in sales.

My DD is same age but a bit taller than yours and lives in leggings so I feel your pain. Monki have some nice print leggings and I've also got some leopard print and plain colour leggings from Next tall range.

WhereAreWeNow · 18/09/2021 21:06

These are the Next tall ones www.next.co.uk/style/st433103/770446#770446

SeaShoreGalore · 18/09/2021 22:54

Although athlesure in branding these bamboo leggings aren't shiny/Lycra - they're more like a thick cotton? V expensive but often sales/discount codes on. And sustainable!

friends wear leggings from Lucy locket loves locketloves.com and say they are really comfy. Big gaudy for me, but teenagers might like them!?

CatsForLife · 19/09/2021 07:28

Have a look at the “grown ups” section on Fred and Noah. They do adult versions of their kids leggings

The Lucy Locket ones mentioned by PP are fab, but they are shiny exercise ones.

OpposableThumbs2 · 19/09/2021 07:33

"The Lucy Locket ones mentioned by PP are fab, but they are shiny exercise ones" the casual ones aren't particularly shiny, and they're lots cheaper than the active ones.

mrstrickland · 19/09/2021 08:23

Yeah they seem to have active and casual wear leggings. Apparently they do £5 Friday every so often too so good and cheap

SeaShoreGalore · 19/09/2021 18:49

I am so glad I asked Grin Have found at least 3 pairs she will love!
