I'm going on a rare night out to a cocktail bar type posh dinner place

I think you'd have to wear something very small fitted or tucked in ? To avoid swamping the trousers and making them look like office attire ?
Maybe a cream silk cami ? Another shade of blue ? Something plain if fancy shoes

Thank you! I agree that anything loose looks very frumpy. I bought a taupe silk blouse from Mint velvet that is shorter at the front so I can do a French pleat and leave it long at the back (to cover the elasticated waist line!)
