Do these boots look dated?

I love them but they're £££ and I do t want to get them if they look dated. How wound they be with barrel leg or straight jeans?

I’m not sure if they look dated to me but I feel there’s something not quite right about them - I’m not a fan of the dark brown with the chunky black sole. I also don’t know how flattering they’d be - I’d rather they come up a bit higher on the leg, as they’re chunky they look a little off-balance. There’s lots of chunky soled Chelsea boots around, but I think you could find a better version personally!

My concern is are they more 90’s throwback than current trend revisited?
They’re not for me, regardless of price.

I like them apart from the way the heel splays outwards. But I'm not fashionable at all, so interested in the other replies.

I agree that the chunky, black heel looks out of proportion with the rest of the boot. There is even a lip at the back, where the base looks too large for the upper shoe, making them look poorly made.

I like chunky boots but there's something not quite right with the first pair. The Camper ones are beautiful.

I've just looked up Camper on the Good For You app and they're "not good enough " so I'm not getting those. Back to the drawing board.

I quite like them OP, I wouldn't say they look current though if that's the look you're going for but I wouldn't necessarily say they're dated either.

I think the low cut ankle is what makes them less current

Like the camper ones, don't love them but they are nice.

No- just as hideous- and look cheap and nasty too.

I’m not a fan of the heel! In fact heels in general are pretty dated, I’d just go for flat ones.
