Party outfit

I have my 50th birthday party coming up and would love some inspiration. It's a disco in a pub. I'm a size 12 5ft 7.

I quite fancy a jumpsuit. Possibly a dress, but not sure what style.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I don't know where to start!

What colours and patterns do you like?
What colour is your hair?

My hair is brown and i quite pale in skin colour. I tend to play it safe and go with black or dark blue normally. I love purples and they seems to suit my pale skin.

Colours that don't suit me and make me look drawn are yellow, orange and green

If it's going to be a long day on my feet or a night of dancing, I usually pick my footwear first and then work out an outfit from there.

Watching with interest as I need a going out dress too…one that will cover Christmas as well. Need to be able to dance in it.
I’ve only come across two that fit the bill. One is out of stock. The other is far too expensive.

Wouldn't a jumpsuit be impractical especially if a lot of drinking is involved?

No jumpsuits I agree. They look fab…but toilet issues.

I take the point about impracticality of jumpsuits, although I do have an iron bladder, so it shouldn't be too big an issue.

I really like the Silkfred jumpsuit. I don't think I can carry off one shoulder ones.

The dresses are pretty, but my figure's not good enough to wear something that fitted. I'd feel self conscious
