Perfect black leggings...

...do they exist? If so... where?

Really struggling to find some decent black leggings. They're all either:

• See-through
• End up baggy, particularly around the knee area
• Bobbly after a few washes

Help me out ladies. Tell me where I can get some good quality black leggings that won't let me down.

I’m loving M&S leggings at the moment and find them good quality for the price. The fleece lined ones are divine in winter!

Justcashnosweets · 17/09/2021 19:32

The Sainsbury's ones, supersoft with a thick waistband are brilliant. They are £10 which is a steal aswell!

Another vote for m and s. I like the high waist ones, possibly because I've been in maternity ones for three years and had two sections....anyway two pairs in pack, lovely quality, washed everyday with kids mess and baby sick, still look new.

Love Leggings

White Stuff Jodie ponte leggings.

They are literally divine........ so soft you don't know you're wearing them, supersoft and wash after wash come out perfectly.

I have some awful ones from M&S which I've just binned.

Love Leggings get talked up on mumsnet so I gave them ago and they are quite good but did find they shrunk (legs got shorter!) and waistbands twisted.

My favourite are Boden.

Lululemon. Yes, they’re expensive, but there’s a reason for it. Get the Align if you want work outy ones, Wunder Under if you want thick matte ones for everyday wear.

I’m loving the Sainsbury’s ones mentioned by another poster. Lovely thick waistband, still looking good after a year of wear

Thank you ladies.

I was in Sainsburys yesterday and picked up a pair of Luxury Super Soft Ponte leggings for £12. I'm only 5'3", so went for the petite ones.

WOW! They are perfect! Great quality, very comfy, high waisted so they hold my tummy in, no bagginess and absolutely not see through.

I also saw another pair with a very similar name/hanger cover for £10 but they were very thin so I avoided those.

Very have some fantastic ones, sucky in, high waist, don’t go baggy, wash well… £15 a pair but utterly perfect!

These, www.mintvelvet.co.uk/product/Black-Straight-Leggings/28957 bought them after a recommendation on here. The only downside is that they can be a bit too warm on mild days but they are lovely and warm on cold days.

I quite like the high wasted river island ones but you have to size up by about 2 sizes. They aren't completely opaque though so I definitely will try the £12 Sainos ones! X

ElspethFlashman · 23/09/2021 11:08

The Very/Littlewoods ones. I'm evangelical about them. They're called Confident Curve.

Thick, high waisted, hold you in and snap back into shape. Too thick for summer but AMAZING for winter.

moreshitandnofuckingredemption · 23/09/2021 12:15

I rate the Boden ones
