Comfy office suitable shoes

I’ve started a new job where I need to go to the office sometimes. “Business casual” dress code - not suits but not jeans and trainers either.

Having lived in trainers for the last several years, I’m struggling to go back to smart shoes, even ballet flats were so so uncomfortable.

So I’m looking for super comfy but smart ish shoes - I especially need something I can wear with dresses and skirts in warmer weather.

Any ideas much appreciated!

I love brogues, I have several flat pairs and also a couple of heeled brogues (though I’ve not worn heels since the start of the pandemic and I don’t know if they will see the light of day again!)

Loafers or brogues.
Chelsea boots or knee length boots in winter.
Chunky sandals in summer.
Well that's my uniform anyway Smile

Fitflop

I can’t wear brogues with skirts, they make my legs look tree trunk like sadly.

coronofiona what sort of chunky sandals?

These are the comfiest shoes I have ever owned clarks.

Ooh, those could definitely be good with trousers. Possibly a bit chunky for with skirts (on me anyway)
