If you go to pick up your child from school or you go to watch your child in a play for example how much do you notice other peoples appearance around you?
Do you ever notice other people's weight?

Weight no- appearance yes- you can look put together or like crap at any size….I personally always look like crap

If I'm waiting for my kids etc I might people watch and notice eg a cool outfit or if someone is wearing particularly unflattering clothes for their shape.

If I'm with the kids I'm just herding them and not paying attention to anyone else!

Yes. Most because I feel insecure about me.

I barely ever notice on school pickup or drop off and certainly never weight. That would be unusual in my area to even register it because in our school I think we run the entire spectrum of different shapes and sizes. I suppose I may vaguely notice clothes. Generally in a "oooh I want that" type of way about clothing. Yesterday I vaguely noticed a mum in slippers, but that was because it made the distinctive slipper noise passing me. All I thought was "hah she's been having one of those days , haven't we all"

To be honest the most I've ever heard is gentle laughing at me because some of the parents know I WFH and teach online so there is an ongoing joke about why I don't just wear pyjamas on the bottom half and smart on the top half. I don't and they think it's funny I dress up to sit down .

I'm very much of the opinion that I someone is going to be a dick about what you wear , or your weight at school events etc they are definitely not the person I think has a sensible opinion and not someone I want to be near so why would I care what they think.

I have noticed that I notice other people's weight much more when I am feeling uncomfortable about mine, and much less when i am not.
