Need a dress for a wedding, help!

I am going to a wedding next week.

It's my first wedding in nearly 6 years. In those 6 years I've had two babies, gained four stone with each pregnancy and have now (finally, finally) lost it all again.

I have no idea what dress to buy. I've not worn anything remotely dressy for so long.

I'm 35. 5'4 so not very tall, a size 12 in jeans now. Very busty, (34H), quite an hourglass shape. Hate my arms so don't really want them on display. Can't do huge towering heels anymore but reasonable size ones are ok.

It's all all day wedding so needs to go from day to night.

Any ideas, stylish people?

Budget is up to £100.

Gabrielle Parker have some lovely tea dresses. They will advise on size. shop.gabrielleparker.com/product/silk-tea-dress/
These would also be in budget.

@mrssmiling ooh i love both these suggestions.

This is not hourglass but it is a very fashionable shape. You’d probably want to iron or stitch the button front open, to form an elegant and flattering V. Would look great spruced up with smart accessories - but is also something you could wear afterwards dressed down.

www.omnes.com/collections/dresses/products/pink-check-reversible-maxi-dress-monique-1a-pink -sorry,might be way off styleplan ,just saw it and thought, maybe?

Ah, glad you like them OP. I haven’t ordered from SOB but the dresses look great. I have a Gabrielle Parker tea dress and would recommend - very flattering, beautiful material, and the wrap style is comfortable and easy to wear.

Thank you all!

I definitely need something fitted, a chest like mine with anything baggy just makes me look awful.

I did see this, is this too black for a wedding? And this too - too worky?

The black is nicer! More celebratory and a good background for jewellery or whatever.

It it appropriate for a wedding? I feel comfortable in Black but I'm never sure if it's ok (obvs a totally black dress isn't!).
