What do you think about crocs,?

The plastic looking ones I’m referring to not the croc trainers, I think personally they are the most revolting things ever invented, it doesn’t matter who wears them, in my opinion they never look good, 🤣🤣 who else agrees,?

They're ok to garden in. Possibly the beach too. Shouldn't really be seen beyond the front door though.

jagoda · 15/09/2021 13:19

Only OK if you are Gen Z.

elQuintoConyo · 15/09/2021 13:24

For me, I'd wear them on the beach, mooching about a campsite or gardening.

What anyone else does I couldn't give a toss.

lazylinguist · 15/09/2021 13:31

They are brilliant- they helped cure my plantar fasciitis! I wear them around the house or when camping. I wouldn't wear them out of the house otherwise, because I don't regard them as proper shoes. I find it hard to understand such an extreme reaction to them though. Revolting? Really?!

SoupDragon · 15/09/2021 13:33

They are the ugliest shoes on the planet (unless you are a small child)

VerveClique · 15/09/2021 13:37

Good for putting the bin out!

RiverSkater · 15/09/2021 13:40

Their flip flops are the comfiest. I wear the shoes in the garden and have a pair of very lightweight comfy wellies too!

I've heard people going running in them too!

puffasocks · 15/09/2021 13:43

Comfiest shoe ever but I don’t wear them out the house. I would, but unfortunately I do care what people think. Can’t escape that.

MissDollyMix · 15/09/2021 13:45

I have a pair for slipping in and wearing to nip out to the bins/garden/outbuildings but I wouldn’t wear them out. I forgot I had them on the other day and wore them to Tesco. Was slightly worried that I might bump into someone I know! They are marvellous practical shoes though!

BronwenFrideswide · 15/09/2021 13:46

Agree OP, they are indeed revolting and ugly.

FoofOfTheWalkingDead · 15/09/2021 13:46

I just got a new pair, my old ones wore out. They are used for camping, gardening, taking out the bin, walking the cat and trips to the beach for wild swimming.
I would wear them everywhere but even I balk at being that frumpy when I'm out and about and I'm pretty frumpy.

stormelf · 15/09/2021 13:53

I have a pair I bought when I was a teenager and wear them around the house in the summer instead of slippers. They are also handy to slip on when going out into the garden with the kids. My kids have cheaper version of croc wellies and I would love a pair for myself

EssentiallyDisorganised · 15/09/2021 13:54

Their flipflops gave me plantar fasciitis. Only wear them to pop out to the bin now, never risking longer wear of them again after that.

Tal45 · 15/09/2021 14:01

Brilliant in the garden, wouldn't wear them anywhere else.

hamstersarse · 15/09/2021 14:02

Comfortable but socially unacceptable

Only for days of absolute isolation

loopylu26 · 15/09/2021 14:02

I've had a pair for 15 years and looking like I'll get another 15 years! Great for the garden and putting stuff in the bin. Would never wear in public

RubyGoat · 15/09/2021 14:05

I'd probably own some if I lived by the sea. Very practical for washing the sand out. Otherwise... they don't appeal.

Fluffypastelslippers · 15/09/2021 14:14

I wear them in the garden because they protect my feet but let the air around to keep them cool too.

CtrlU · 15/09/2021 14:15

They are ugly but certainly are comfortable. I wear mine everyday around the house/ garden
