Coloured hair fading and dull

I'm early 40s but have pretty much gone grey 50% and am constantly colouring it. Problem is it fades and looks pretty awful after a month until my next colour appointment.
My hair is coarse and very thick and very difficult to colour. Has anybody found products to help? Budget isn't an issue.

Have you tried a colour hair mask?

Similar here. I use e salon ( they use 20% developer) and they sell a colour tint to apply between colours, lenght refreshers etc .ive pretty much accepted that i need to.apply

Oops.. more than I would wish as my greys are fighting the colour..

I have dyed red hair which is a colour prone to fade. My hairdresser recommends washing as infrequently as possible (once a week if possible) in cool water with sulphate free shampoo and conditioner. I also use Shrine colour drops in conditioner and leave on for half an hour before rinsing every other wash.
