What do you think of these work boots?

I'm prepping for a return to the office.

I've always found it hard to find a work ankle boot that isn't too high and looks good with trousers and skirts.

Then I clicked on these and thought wow the heel is perfect. But the price tag.

They look so comfy though. The platform is a bit unusual but there are these ones - maybe its a case of try both and see. I'm thinking price per wear. The leather looks like it will retain the look with some care.

This has got me thinking about what I'm looking for and I'm thinking a lace up boot might be more versatile as it would work casually, or with more turn up style trousers too.

The first ones you linked to are the nicest and I like them in the wine / burgundy colour
I'd say they would be worth the money as you'd get a lot of wear out of them and they would be so comfortable.

Fab thanks. They seem to be red or brown- its looks purple but it says brown . Will investigate.

I like the first one best too. I'm sure you can blag yourself a discount. I did in the Edinburgh store once by telling them I'd been given an email discount - I had but it had expired - the lass gave me 10%. I think they know with a bit of googling a customer can get better deals online.
