Opinions on this bag please

I often need to carry folders, a book, laptop, lunch, umbrella, etc, and it's hard to fit it all in, even in backpacks. Plus I'm a bit sick of backpacks anyway.

What do you think of this bag? It looks like it's very lightweight when empty, will fit lots, it's waterproof and it looks sort of stylish to me, or am I kidding myself?

I guess the only think I am not so sure about is the colour, because it's close to the colour of my main winter coat. But I don't want black.

I like it. Saw someone carrying a similar one at an airport a few weeks ago and thought it looked good.

Now, I have no idea where I dredged this up from in the memory bank but all I can think of is Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone before she 'finds herself' and walks around in that big duffle coat!

So it's a no from me. BUT I always think things look fantastic on people who wear them with confidence so regardless of anyone's opinion OP, if you like it, go for it!

Its not my thing. To me a bag should be a more hard wearing fabric, not puffa coat material.

I have a similar one I found on ebay. It's fun and stylish. I wore it to meet my friend and she said noticed it and said oh that's nice, its a good weekend bag. Mine was grey and acid yellow though and I think taupe has a more sophisticated look. It's not at all structured and collapses with nothing in it and can fall open if left unzipped.

What's the base like? I'd want studs or similar on the bottom to keep it off a potentially wet/dirty floor.

Is the fabric waterproof or water resistant?

I'd look for something with a dedicated laptop section/pocket. I'm not sure that bag would protect it enough even with the padding. I like how it looks though.

I don't think it is big enough for all you need to carry. I had a bag that shape for work and it held folders and laptop etc but I had to take my lunchbox separately.
