'Emo' boots. Yay or nay?

I love these boots. As per the title my Dd has vetoed them as emo-ish. Are they horrid? I wear lots of swishy dresses and skirts and am tolerably fashionable given my advanced age. Thoughts please?

I have to agree with her they do look emo-ish to me.

If someone else doesn't like it, it doesn't matter.

I'd be wearing them with midi skirts and dresses mainly. I've just bought a lovely long coat too.

I see the look your going for but I don't like those specific boots. But if you do you should go for it because that's what makes fashion fun!

Personally I love the style of boot but don't like the way they gape at the back. I prefer my boots fit my calf and sometimes even with laces they don't!

That is me being fussy though! Overall lovely boots. Not that you should listen to me, I took delivery of my new buffalo trainers today 😂 (I would say it's because they're trendy, it's actually because I lived and died in platform boots and trainers for Many, many years and feel much more like myself in clumpy shoes)

Same! Clumpy all the way here. My legs are quite skinny so a bit of a gape will be inevitable; nowhere near as skinny as the model though...

I like the actual boots but not keen on the sole, there's just something about it that doesn't look quite right to me 😬 If you love them you should definitely wear them 😁

There is nothing remotely emo or alternative about them. They are black basic boots and if you like them buy them.
