Lip Plumpers -do they work ?

Not the lip fillers (injectables) but the paint on lip tingling ones

In my searches I've looked at :

De-Wop lip venom
TooFaced
Soap&Glory Mother Pucker
Barry M

Most of the before/after look like a normal pair of lips then an over glossed daft pout

Are they worth a punt at all? I have the most apathetic lip line , very thin. Always has been but menopause isn't helping .

TIA Smile

I haven't found any that work too well!

The lip plumpers only tingle on my lips and make them a touch pinker.
I've tried a fair few and then took the plunge and got fillers and never looked back!

(Before anyone comes at me for duck pout etc) I have a very small amount injected once a year to maintain my lips. They look natural and if you hadn't known me before you would never know.

:)

I don't have lip fillers, but I think they can definitely be subtle, & look really nice.

I would like them at some point, my dentist does them, and my lips are very thin.

Would you consider it OP, I am sure you could have a small amount, then increase it if needed.

Lots of dental surgeries do facial aesthetics now.
Sorry OP, I'm

*I'm not much help!

I'm thinking they're a bit Emporers New Clothes
I've got a silicone lip buffer that (if I remember) I use at night then put on balm .It gives a tingle and hopefully keeps dry skin at bay but I don;t think it does anything like increase blood flow

I'm still a No' on injectables though Wink

The work. But the incremental change is not worth it I think. I would say they make your lips 5% bigger tops.

I was at a private dental surgery recently , on the health questionaire it had are you worried about wrinkles and I thought hmm I bet they offer fillers

Plump It works quite well and lasts. A more long term fix if you don’t want fillers is the Lip Flip procedure. Just a drop of Botox above your top lip. I had it done and was pleased with the results, very subtle but it made a difference

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/09/2021 21:26

I could go with 5%
Better than 0%

Then I'll treat myself to a new lipliner to give some definition.

Wearing a mask means that I don't see myself out and about in mirrors .

The NIOD lip serum worked brilliantly for me but it seems to be out of stock everywhere at the minute

I had a reaction to a lip plumper, bloody hurt, DH asked what was causing this red rash and I told him it was my new lip plumper, he said 'haha, lip plumper?, I think you need to stop using it on your bum hahaha'

I have subtle lip fillers and if done by a reputable clinic you still look like you but a bit better.
