Would I benefit from having eyebrow microblading?

I’m not sure, my eyebrows are getting thin, would you say I should do it or will I look ridiculous?

Is there another, less dramatic way rather than having obvious ‘engineered’ brows?

When I put light brown pencil it makes my face look heavy somehow.

Any ideas please?

Have you tried powder?
I’ve seen some micro blading disasters

Suzi888 · 12/09/2021 18:45

I think it’ll be too harsh on you. Fibre eyebrow pencil and/or powder?

Byheckythump · 12/09/2021 18:45

Try Benefit. They have some good products and will give advice. Maybe a clear gel is all you need. I don't think you should have microblading. You have good eyebrows that are a nice shape.

minipie · 12/09/2021 19:03

If you think pencil is too heavy I doubt you’ll like microblading tbh

Try RapidBrow. Much to my surprise it actually works. You could also consider eyebrow tinting, won’t add hairs but will make some of your fairer ones more visible.

givinglessfucksdaily · 12/09/2021 19:35

I think your eyebrows look lovely
Not too thin, not chunky
I'd also like to try something like micro blading but don't have the nerves ..
I'd leave yours as they are , you look great

JoyOrbison · 12/09/2021 19:37

What about a brow tint? Have a Google, lasts about 6 weeks, much lighter and more natural than microblading, and just works with existing eyebrows

NotMyCat · 12/09/2021 20:01

I've had micropigmentation done (single needle)
I do have some brow gel on here as my hairs as so pale but I wouldn't say it's heavy

Ive found HD brows a good option, i think the eyebrow tinting makes a lot of difference along with the shaping. Then i can use pencil/powder to fill in as needed

SarahBellam · 12/09/2021 20:52

Your skin is really beautiful. What do you use on it?

Properdilemma · 12/09/2021 21:55

Thanks all, @NotMyCat your brows look gorgeous, very natural. Mine are a bit short at the ends, they seem to be getting shorter with age (I’m 48 now).

@SarahBellam nothing special, water / shampoo suds from washing my hair and a standard day cream, a garnier or neutrogena brand usually. I’ve been very lucky to inherit clear skin that’s all.

I've had great success regrowing my overplucked brows by using revitalash, dyeing my brows using refectocils (professional dye bought on amazon), not plucking and instead using am eyebrow razor. I've also moved away from an arch and have a straighter line by removing the very top of the arch and shaving the very ends. It sounds mad but shaving the very ends has made the tail of my brows look so much thicker. It hasn't shortened them much at all but it's transformed how thick my overall brow looks. I have always had thin and weedy brows but the above has helped a lot.

Last year

Now - no make up on either. I do fill in the little gap with a mac brow pencil.

Yours are lovely. Please don't have them microbladed. Have you had them tinted before? Try that.

tillytoodles1 · 12/09/2021 22:17

I've had microbladed brows for three years. Although my hair is dark brown, my eyebrows were thin and pale. I love them.

MoltonSilver · 12/09/2021 22:20

No. Your eyebrows are perfect.

TeamRick · 12/09/2021 22:21

Not all micro bladed brows look like black slugs, some are very natural looking!

I think they could be enhanced - I'd have a look on Facebook or Instagram for places near you that do it and have a look at their photos! See if any appeal to you.

Durbeyfield · 12/09/2021 22:26

I had my brows micro bladed this summer. I love the result - subtle yet very groomed - wish I’d done it years ago.

Miseryisabutterfly · 13/09/2021 09:58

I use benefit products to fill in the gaps in mine/thicken them out and I think they look quite natural (perhaps too natural and untamed!). Lots of micro blading looks great but I’d be worried about how they look after a few years, I’ve seen horror stories.

Mine were done in 2017 Smile

Yours look amazing @NotMyCat! I’d just be chicken personally!
