Under eye concealer

Please could you share your recommendations for a really good under eye concealer? One with good coverage and staying power but that doesn’t go all cakey in the wrinkles!

So many threads on this if you want to search MN

I always recommend a corrector rather than a concealer. Bobbi Brown is good and I think has a tool online to help choose the shade.

I also don't mind tarte shape tape would go for the corrector first any time.

There are other correctors I like but all seem to have been discontinued- benefit erase paste shades 2 and 3, Armani corrector (not sure of full name)

As for wrinkles I have some fine lines and so am mindful of placement - concentrate on inner corner where I have the most darkness and some on the outer corner and otherwise spring the sort it edge of the circle, blending upwards, but I avoid putting anything just under my lash line where I have lines.

I also don't powder as I don't find it necessary and it tends to sit in fine lines.

There are many videos on YouTube though on apply concealer for mature skin.

As pp said a corrector is what you need. Use it under foundation or concealer.

I like NARS creamy concealer, easy to use and gives good coverage (also buildable). It’s both a corrector and a concealer: www.narscosmetics.co.uk/en/ginger-radiant-creamy-concealer/0607845012351.html?cgid=concealers

I was coming on to recommend NARS. I use it under my eye but also in a few other areas of my face, so I don't think a corrector would work.
Sometimes I use it without foundation.

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 12/09/2021 18:53

I kind the Nars creamy concealer too on top of corrector. It's only going to "correct" if it's in a colour that will cancel out the colour of your dark circles.

I don't know if make up counters are open with testers now for you to try some out? I assume they are in which case that might help if you would want to. You could go to a department store that has bobbi brown and Nars.

Thanks all! I have a department store near me that has both Nars and Bobbi Brown so I shall give them a go.

This was recommended on a thread a couple of months back. Quite expensive but, to me, absolutely worth it. I have terrible dark circles and this is the best product I've tried. It really does brighten and conceal. If I remember correctly, you can send it back for a refund if it doesn't work for you.

I've recently started using Mabelline eraser eye concealer after being recommended by a friend. Managed to buy it on discount with the Sainsbury's order and pretty happy with it!

Maybelline eraser eye concealer is amazing!!! Especially for a high street brand!

I use lemon aid by benefit. You need a tiny amount and I just put my foundation over it. Estée Lauder primer stuff for eyelids as I’m very dark so eye shadows wouldn’t show up well. I have a thick Bobbi brown concealer and an Estée Lauder highlighter one too, I use them very lightly and dab on with finger or light concealer brush but you do need to use a good eye cream keep your skin moisturised and hydrated, when my skin is dry or dull that’s when I find concealers or foundations sink into lines. Pixi or no7 do really nice reasonable skincare. Elf too, their make up is good too.

Another vote for nars creamy concealer, it’s fab and the shade range is great
