Budget-ish Mascara recommendations

I've used Lancome Hypnose for ages but it's so £££ even though I wait for 20% off when possible.

I've also found it seems to flake off by the end of the day.

I have hardly any eyelashes- short, stumpy etc.
So I need something that gives length and volume.
I don't like Maybelline as it makes my lashes really stiff.
I've tried Clinique High Impact (freebies) and find it just doesn't have enough volume.

Any ideas?
Rimmel maybe?

Looking for up to around £15.

Essence Lash Princess. I like the green one, but the purple one has fibres that make your lashes thicker and longer. Only £3 from Wilko.

Primark and Aldi do some good ones .

I don't wear mascara often but when I open one and go back it's usually time to throw it out .

My DD ( blessed of long eyelashes Envy ) likes TooFaced Better Than Sex mascara

Collection lash surge. Was recommended to me by a make up artist. It’s about a fiver.

2nd Essence Lash Princess Green tube.

Although my HG is L'Oréal Lash Paradise. But it's too pricey for me at the moment.

No7 in the glittery gold tube ( not to be confused with the plain hold tubing one)

Bananaman123 · 11/09/2021 19:49

All of the no7 ones are good and normally reduced or 3 for 2. No7 do vouchers too if you shop in store you get a oney off voucher

I love love love this mascara- my eyes water loads and this provides really good volume and is genuinely waterproof. I originally bought it in Japan years ago and was delighted when Amazon started stocking it.

Essence Lash Princess for length and L'Oréal Voluminous for volume. I combine the two for occasions when I want to make it look like I'm wearing falsies (I can't put them on myself to save my life).
I used to use the Rimmel Glam Eyes day to night one which was good, although that was maybe 8 years ago so not sure if it's changed since then!

Lash Princess gives me really good length and volume, doesn't flake or run. And I wear contacts. The only downside to that is that it's not the easiest to get off either.

Actually all the Wilko mascaras get good reviews, but LP is the current flavour of the month. I really rate it.

Another vote for essence from wilkos, the one with the orange bit on the tube though, the volume one. Bloody brilliant. I open it and leave the wand out for ten mins for the first few times I use it so it dries out a bit but it’s soooo good (from someone who has always used dior/lancome/charl tilbury etc previously) xx
