Coat thread - petite warm waterproof

Not too frumpy, not blue or black (maybe a teal or green). Size 16.

Needed for walks/watching dd play football/possibly going into the office in winter weather.

I have looked at lands end as they do petite but I am not sold on them. Last year I went for a non petite coat from trespass and it just never really fitted properly as the hips/waist weren't in the right place.

sadsack987 · 08/09/2021 19:20

Ohhh do they? I couldn't see petite when I looked. I will look again

Janelle, Pentewan, Casting Call, Coverack and Porth Mellin all in Petite and some lovely colours. And they fit real curves too. I love my Janelle but it is a very long coat (that I wanted as I hate getting wet thighs!) so might not be suitable for all.

Seasalt Plant Hunter is warm and waterproof. The regular is not overly long

sadsack987 · 08/09/2021 22:07

Thanks both. I had a look online and I did like a couple (sold out in my size but I'll check out John Lewis too).

My issue is more around the waist placement than anything - I am very short waisted so what height I do have is in my legs (I usually get away with regular in trousers for example). That's why I'd rather go for petite rather than a short regular coat iyswim.

I got the long Dunbar parka from Boden last year and I love it. There is a shorter version this year too. It has a cosy lining that is removable when it’s not so cold out. Expensive but I got it 25% off and wore it loads-can’t wait to get it back out for this year Grin
