Have a wedding very end of September and I want to try lip fillers I've been advised a mill to try. Would you wait until after the wedding or get it done before. Worried il have bad lips in the photos as none of my friends have fillers but also want to look nice so I really can't decide. What would u do?

Wait till after the wedding

JustHereWithPopcorn · 07/09/2021 20:00

It took about a week for my lips to reduce bruising/swelling so maybe book a week before if possible?

I’d watch married at first sight
And be horrified at how the fillers look and how obvious but they are
Maybe also watch a bit of celebrity sas (Kerry katona)
And then decide whether I really want it

But no I think it would be risky before a wedding to try anything like that for the first time

Don’t do it before the wedding if it’s your first time. If you have any allergic or pressure reaction it could take weeks to calm down.

TuftyRusty · 07/09/2021 20:02

I’d definitely either get it done so you have a couple of weeks for it to calm down or wait til after the wedding.

legoriakelne · 07/09/2021 20:03

Why? What's wrong with your human-looking lips?

legoriakelne · 07/09/2021 20:06

none of my friends have fillers but also want to look nice

Honestly, I just don't know where to begin with how sad I find this. "Want to look nice" so your mind goes to mutilating your face?

I would be gutted if I asked someone I cared about to be my bridesmaid and she felt she had to do that to herself to look nice enough for the photos.

SunShinesBrightly · 07/09/2021 20:06

Lip fillers never look nice imho but if you’re determined to go ahead, do it after he wedding unless you are happy to take the risk of having scabby over inflated lips in the pictures.

DedalusBloom · 07/09/2021 20:08

Meh. I have fillers and they are very subtle (because my lips were very thin before and I only had .5ml)
However, it took a good week for them to calm down after the injections so for God's sake factor that in if you want to have them done.

SunShinesBrightly · 07/09/2021 20:09

Google ‘bad lip filler’ and make your decision.

SummerBluez · 07/09/2021 20:11

I got 1.1ml a month before my wedding. Plenty of time to settle and I felt a thousand times more confident 😊

inmyslippers · 07/09/2021 20:11

Nobody can tell you have filler if it's done well. Start with 0.5ml
