This skirt for a November wedding?

Family wedding. I'm not in the bridal party but DP is so I want to look nice but not like a wannabe bridesmaid. They'll be in rust so those sort of colours are out, as is red/burgundy as I'll clash.

I've bought this skirt (in the khaki green) which I really like. But could I style this appropriately for a wedding? It's quite casual on the website but I was thinking black barely-there sandals and a black top. Too much black? What sort of top? I don't want anything shiny as the skirt is shiny. What about if it's chilly? Blazer? I did wonder about a leather jacket, I don't think it's a very formal wedding. It's not in a church anyway.

I'm 31, 5'2 and size 6-8 if that's relevant. Open to all suggestions!

I would wear something like that. In fact I plan to wear a dress in that fabric and colour to a wedding.

Yes to blazer - oversized or boyfriend fit.
Black is ok these days at weddings but I’d be more worried about tucking it in without lumps and bumps. I guess you would need a body?
Is the Palm dress (dress version of this skirt) still sold out? That would be my preference.

Are we wearing bodies again? My last memory of wearing a body is being very very drunk in a nightclub toilet trying desperately to do it up. (Kelly’s nightclub, Portrush for anyone in NI).

The skirt is gorgeous and I think wearing black to a wedding is fine. I’m not sure about a biker jacket though - too informal for my taste.

Something like this with a blazer?

@Chocolatecoatedkettlebell The Palm dress is only available in taupe and big sizes. I'm actually not as keen on the dress, I think it would be less forgiving round the stomach. A body is a good idea, I think I would need it to keep lines smooth.

@waltzingparrot Thanks for this, I hadn't considered something with long sleeves. I think that specific top might be too booby but I'll look at similar options.

The Zara top is interesting, do you think that colour would work?
