Lip Butter

I have finally scraped the very last of the last of my Nivea Raspberry Rose lip butter from the tin.

I loved it. On its own, or mixed in with a some lipstick to tone it down and make it more creamy. It was very very lightly tinted.

It's been discontinued now. So can anyone recommend me anything similar?

Vaseline is too greasy. I have Burts Bees, but just a plain one. I don't want anything glossy.

Thanks.

Lip oil?

Fresh or Kiehls

I know exactly how you feel. Best balm I've ever used. They've made a similar one in a strange bulky capsule which doesn't fit in your back pocket and it's design means you can't get the last bits out of the bottom. Plus its plastic.
I love Nivea but they've let us down big time !

Try Ebay

Thanks all.

I'm reluctant to buy offf eBay because it must be ancient. I'm sure it's been discontinued for ages.

The Kheils butterstick looks like a possible replacement.

@gillys nothing worse than a go to product being discontinued!

By Terry baume de rose. It's the best.

I was going to suggest a clarins lip oil but I they’re a bit glossy. So nourishing though!

Buy a bag of shea butter from a cosmetics supplier.

Get a pack of lip balm tins from amazon and fill them with the shea butter (or wash and reuse your empty nivea tins.carmex pots).

Very cheap indeed. Not greasy or shiny either.

Nuxe Reve de Miel lipbalm is fantastic and my all time favourite lip balm. It's about £9 a jar and lasts for ages. It isn't glossy and is the only thing that really works for me when my lips are sore. I've tried the By Terry Baume de Rose but it is very heavily scented. It's also about £30.
The Fresh lip butters are nice but you have to be careful not to press too hard when applying or they break.
The Augustinus Bader lipbalm is lovely but again it's £30 (I got it in a Space NK gift set).

Dr Paw Paw, won loads of awards, used by make up artists, can get plain or tinted. Costs £3/4. It’s brilliant.

@Didiusfalco You might know already but Home Bargains do it for £2.49 Smile
