Another jeans thread... but this time it's about colour

Hello,
My favourite colour of denim is quite a dark blue/grey. I've also noticed over the years this colour of denim is usually quite soft to the touch, a bit muted in tone. It used to be more popular I think because I'm having real trouble finding jeans in this colour these days. Does anyone know what the hell I'm talking about? I'm struggling to be any more specific. Most dark jeans I'm seeing now are either way too blue or have way too much white showing in the blue. If this makes any sense to anyone ;-) do you know of anywhere selling this colour denim currently?

Next have them.

Thank you. I'm struggling to see what I mean on Next though.

Maybe I mean blue/black? There's a pair on M&S described at blue/black that are almost what I mean. Not keen on the style though. Argh.

I think I know the colour you mean and it's like hen's teeth. Everything now is an awful blue stonewash like a member of the Brat Pack would have worn in the late 80s/early 90s. I'm following this thread with interest

The colour is hard to determine online. I bumbled into Next, said I wanted bootcut in dark blue (almost black/grey) and the sales person conjured up the perfect pair!

Thatswhatmamasaid · 04/09/2021 12:02

Have you tried Topshop? I have two pairs which are blue/black from there.

dotty81 · 04/09/2021 12:15

Will look on Topshop thanks. Didn't realise they'd become part of Asos!

@BuckyBarnesArm. These are the closest I've been able to find so far: www.johnlewis.com/and-or-venice-beach-boyfriend-jeans-vintage-perfected/p5411872

But not overly keen on the buttons. Any other suggestions welcome.

@OldTinHat Yes, I think I need to check a few out in person. Thanks again.

Good luck! Buying new jeans in the perfect colour and fit is a bloody nightmare! Definitely shopping in person is the way to go though, online is just a disaster.
