Dress code Glamour

I need to get a dress for a party where the dress code is Glamour. I have not done Glamour for a very long time, so would love some inspiration. I am Size 18, 5ft 7. I don't really like baring my arms. What can I wear to feel the part? My budget is around £100.

Any ideas?

I would think along the lines of textures - anything made of velvet or silk immediately says "glamour" to me, plus hair and makeup.

How formal is the occasion? Would "glamorous top, midi skirt and heels" work, or are we talking floor-length gown?

Like - if cocktail length is ok, this velvet dress has long sleeves, pockets, and is available in three colours in size 18 for £49 - you can bling it up and wear gorgeous heels, old hollywood hair and screamingly red lipstick, depending on your colouring...

What shape are you - busty? Pear shape?

I'm the same height as you and I think this gorgeous although sleeveless www.roman.co.uk/jacquard-rose-gown-dress-14041979 it also come in navy and has a matching jacket but that might make it more MOB than glamour
