Outfit for memorial service

Memorial service for DM will be held in October. Can anyone recommend what to wear? I Don't want to be overly 'funereal'. Happy to wear a dress or trousers. I'm a 16/18, late 40s with the accompanying thick middle.

What did she like you in? I wore a dress to Nan's service because she liked to see me in a dress. (Of course this depends on your relationship with her.) Choose something you are comfortable in. If you are organising it are you saying 'no black' or would you prefer that?
