Recycling makeup?

Wondered where people recycled old makeup packaging?
I know about Back to MAC but do any stores do an option of taking any makeup not just their own?

...can tell you that if you take 5 beauty containers into John Lewis, they will recycle them for you and give you £5 off a beauty product purchase. I've done it a few times and have been hoarding my empties in preparation for the next purchase.
