Mixing Dylon machine dyes

Has anyone had any success mixing the dye from Dylon machine pods to make a different colour?

I'm tempted to try it as they don't have the colour I want, but I can't find any advice on their website so not sure if it would work.

Yep I have it’s fine just be prepared for it to be quite dark if you use two full pods for not many items

Ooo thanks. I was thinking of taking half the dye out of one pod and filling it up with the dye from another, so it wouldn't be too dark. I might weigh it to get proportions right. It's a bit of a gamble though!

I've done it with the old packaging when it was easier to see how much you were mixing. But I do it more with the hand dyes because you can keep an eye on it as the dye takes and add extra if you want a more intense colour.
I've had some good results and some less so but you never really know how it's going to end up and, as long as you don't do it with something you're really attached to, it's all part of the fun.

Remember the stitching probably won't take the new colour - sorry if you knew that already Smile
