Cashmere roll neck jumper

I have an Uniqlo one but the quality really isn’t there. It looks tatty after one season. But am finding it hard to find something else! A boring plain black roll neck seems to be distinctly out of fashion. Happy to pay up to about £200 and bonus if I could try it on somewhere in London before buying.

Any ideas? I have a great j crew cashmere jumper which is about 5 years old and still Perfect despite almost daily abuse but they only have a low roll jumper this year and I want something to go all the way up my neck.

eBay, or try Land’s End, John Smedley or Johnstone’s of Elgin.

I have one from Baukjen that's quite nice, too.

I have a good black.one from M & S a couple of years ago - still going strong and another from Tesco. Combined price less than £150.

I’ll try Celtic and Co and Baukjen. Johnston’s have nothing in black. I’m not convinced M&S will be any better than Uniqlo and I’d rather buy once and well than take a chance on another cheap one. Lands end and John Smedley - didn’t think of that. Thanks evryone

I bought one last year from John Lewis. They have them in every year but they don’t seem to have arrived for this season yet, they usually have a range of colours.

Thanks al. I managed to find an n.peal one on the outnet for £167. I will only keep if it’s perfect but 🤞. Very little elsewhere. Although possibly I am a bit too early in the season if JL don’t have yet as @Showmetheworld mentions.

Try Heritage of Scotland - often have good sales on Dunedin cashmere amongst others

The JL ones are now in it seems, it was last week or so when I checked before. £10 more expensive than I paid last year though!!

@Showmetheworld thanks - I was in buying school shoes yesterday annoyingly and should have looked but the kids had run out of patience. May take a run in again to look if this one isn't any good.

Now to find a replacement pair of long suede flat boots for the chunky of calf. My Carvela ones have been on their last legs (and re-sprayed multiple times) for a couple of years now but it's been so hard to find a replacement.
