Toppers or half wigs

Can anyone recommend a good place to find a hair topper or maybe half wig
My hair has got very thin at the back, almost bald looking in places
I have looked at a few, but a full wig would be no good as the rest of my hair is ok
Looking from the front i look to have lots of hair, although thinner than it used to be
I am very conscious of it and generally wear a hat, so thought of a bit of help
I have tried all sorts to try to get it to regrow, and been using regaine [minoxidil] for the last 8 months,
It is expensive and now fed up of no results

Have you had blood tests to rule out things like thyroid issues or pernicious anaemia? Other medical issues can also cause hair loss / thinning. I hope you find something that helps.

Had blood tests, scalp biopsy vitamins, trying regaine, which i didn't think was working, but looked today and there are a few black hairs,my hair is blonde,[but scalp hair white in places],
Quite excited now, as i have been using this for 8_9 months
Dematolgist said it was due to stress

The Kirkland brand on minoxidil is a lot cheaper. You can get it on ebay. (By the way, like Rogaine, it's highly toxic to cats).

Rocaille i did try some Kirkland but it says women shouldn't use ,so not bought any more
I did find it very sticky, but don't really care if it works,
The black hairs i have seen are mainly where my hair isn't very thin, but the main bare looking patches don't look any better, just hoping it's just the start
From the front i look to have a lot of hair, just need something to cover the back
Do you use it? and if so so have you seen any improvement?
I have read it can takr up to 32 weeks to see any results, and it has been just about that

Rocaille i meant to say i didn't know it was toxic to cats, and my 2 sleep on my bed every night
Thanks for that tip

I bought some to try to thicken up my hairline, but then I found out how dangerous it can be to cats, so I've not actually used it! Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Is micropigmentation something you would consider? (like microblading but to fill in the gaps where your scalp shows)

LadyC43 · 05/09/2021 15:48

My cats sleep with me every night,so can't have harmed them, but i suppose if they ingested some of it it might
No micropigmentation would be no good as it wouldn't match my hair colour, and i want real hair,as my roots are mainly white now, but i am blonde, and it is very expensive, i think ok for men with very short hair
Never mind i will just keep hoping,
I ordered the hairpiece from QVC but it is too thick and much darker than it looked on the sample pics,so will have to go back
