Help 90s themed fancy dress party tomorrow

Going to a 90s themed 40th birthday party tomorrow and I'm really struggling to find an outfit.
Thought about Edina from absolutely Fabulous especially as I have similar hair but I'm now stuck.

Tried a couple of grunge outfits see pictures below but I'm not really feeling that they work?

Any ideas of anything i can pull together quickly? Problem is I was a teenager in the 90s and hipster trousers and handkerchief tops or halter necks just aren't going to work on me anymore 😉

Spaghetti strap dress over white tshirt plus boots and maybe a Blossom style floppy crushed velvet hat?

White -shirt with a black vest top over it and cargo pants? Bit like your second outfit but without the open shirt (although that was also a 90's staple for me).

Think all saints or spice girls?

Thanks all weirdly I have no spaghetti strap dresses anymore or cargo pants, I don't even have a chain belt!

I thought spice girls @captainpillows I should have just bought a union jack dress but I've left it to late now, I thought I had enough to pull something together.

I think both the first two outfits work. Accessorise with a Bacardi Breezer, a packet of Marlboro lights, some dodgy eyeliner and some blue hair mascara.

Definitely either of the first 2. Early 90s vibe, both work perfectly. Get some brown lipstick to finish it off.

Third one isn’t great.

The first outfits are fine. Then just work on the details like contrasting lipstick and lip liner and then a 90s hair do like one of these.

Thank you yes the hair needs to be right I think little space buns. I'm now remembering those little butterfly clips throughout hair very stylish!

Mainly because my first reaction was ‘oh, cool outfit‘ followed by Oh. Fuck it was 30 yrs ago, and a deep sadness that I won’t be dressing like that anymore 🤣

Oh thanks @Fubitch @Blindleadingtheblind & @BillMasheen it was fun dressing up and dancing to music I loved as a teen.

I definitely didn't dress like this as a teen I was more spice girl slash bewitched cross a style train wreck goodness knows what 🤣

I was going to suggest those all saints trousers with all the tassley bits, but you looked great!

Inspired! Wish I’d thought of a 90s theme for my 40th last month. Though my outfit would’ve been an indie band t-shirt, jeans and blue ellesse trainers (if they still exist) so not the most glam look…

I was only 13 by 1999 but I remember early to mid 90s I wore a lot of mini skirts and jelly shoes (thanks mum!), then crops tops and checked shirts with ripped jeans (didnt really know what grunge was back then). By the time the late 90s came it was Adidas popper pants (where people would try and rip them open), strappy tops and boot cut black trousers or those horrible wretched skirt-over-pants combo.
