Where do I go to buy a suit for sixth form for my son . Advice please

Hello my son is starting sixth form and we are about to go and buy a couple of suits as they have to wear smart jacket smart trousers . He is carrying a little bit of weight on his stomach which he is trying to work on . Any advice on styles to go for and where to buy from thank you

Our son wears Next suits , they are pretty good value and quite hardy for everyday wear .

We have bought ds a second hand one from eBay. It's Jaeger, so not in the slightest bit trendy, but it is cut well and good quality.

Why would anyone take the piss out of him for wearing an M&S suit? Sixth form "business wear" is hardly a fashion statement. I can't see anyone caring.

Another vote for Next! We got DS's 6th form suits from there last week.
Not too expensive, machine wash and a lovely fit.
They do skinny, slim, tailored and regular.
Blue seems to be popular - my DS went for a navy one and a mid blue one that looks a bit like an estate agent trainee, but he loves it!

I was buying a suit for my ds for 6th form this morning. Looked in m&s, tkmaxx and h&m and they didnt have anything suitable on the cheap side. We ended up at Next, found a basic machine washable suit, had a good range of trousers lengths and waist sizes.

River Island used to do some really nice mens suits - I'm sure you know but remember to buy 2 pairs of trousers for each jacket.

ds got a Valantino suit. Also Matalan.

I asked my son, and he said everyone gets them from M&S. I found a discount code - so it was very good value.

I bought DS his from Debenhams in the closing sale, will look at M&S or Next for any replacements.

Slim fitting and checked trousers seem popular- DS won’t even entertain the checked ones though!

Slater's if you have one near you, they'll measure him properly, alter if need to and he'll have something that fits. They have wide range of styles

If you have a Slaters nearby they are excellent for suits and very good value. They will also make any alterations for free.

We bought ds2 one from Burton’s. 1 jacket and 2 pairs of trousers. They had Lycra in and were machine washable.
