Need help choosing new glasses frames

Hi all, I'm due for an eye test soon and I will probably need new specs. I have NO IDEA what sort of frames to go for. I do like the heavy dark frames look but also find it quite ageing. I have a round face, features in proportion, fair skin, and I'm 41. I'm fairly stylish but probably not trendy enough to carry off any super fashionable styles. Any suggestions, with pics, gratefully received!

Spec savers have a try on function on their website. I know what you mean, I like glasses on other people but hate how I look. I’m never happy with how they look.

i always take one of my kids with me and pick an optician who is a bit younger than me and looks like they have decent taste.....if i can. This is partly to get a second opinion and also because i cant see well enough without glasses anyway!
