How would you style this dress for a wedding?

I’m excited to fit into this after working hard so please be kind about it! I’ve light skin and dark brown hair. The dress is knee length on me.

I need a cardi (are boleros still a thing?) and to decide on shoes.

What colours would you put with it? I was wondering about silver? I think something too bold could overpower the dress as it’s pretty pale.

Thanks!

I’m happy with the dress and won’t be rethinking it. I definitely won’t look out of place in it and it’s not a high-fashion event, I just want to feel nice in myself after a tough few months recently.

Things I love about it are:
It’s a different colour to my usual greens and blues but somehow still suits me.
I like the wee sparkly bits (they’re surrounded by a kind of bronzy-metallic beads but in the pic they do look black.
It flares up when I twirl and it’ll be my first time out dancing since Covid so I want a twirly dress!

It’s a fair point about not covering up the detail, but for a Scottish late-summer wedding we could have glorious sunshine (or a blizzard so need something to take the chill off while the pics are being taken.

Off to check out blazers now!

Thanks everyone - haven’t posted here before so wasn’t sure what to expect but it’s been so helpful.

I second the blazer loo, my last wedding outfit was a yellow dress with a deep bronze blazer, loved the look and have worn the blazer with so many dress up and casual outfits.

Have a fab time in your gorgeous swirly dress

Aww. I feel really happy thinking about you dancing in a twirly dress. Smile

I agree a blazer is the way to go. Probably blush pink for colour.
