One-handed hot air styler/brush recommendations please? ?

Hi all, looking for some advice please.

I've currently got a frozen shoulder which means I can barely brush my hair at the moment; ponytails are impossible, clips likewise.

I've just had my hair cut to chin length in an attempt to look less scraggy - I usually end up with my hair in a bobble by bedtime but have just been feeling so low with the pain and looking a mess all the time. I have thick, wavy hair that does diffuse quite nicely, but I've not got the patience for that every day.

So, being a girl who only owns a hairdryer with diffuser, and has access to my daughter's straighteners when she is available to do my hair, I've been recommended a hot air brush for one-handed styling/drying. Can anyone recommend such a gadget please?

Watching with interest as I’m interested in the Dyson air wrap…

I can’t believe it’s been a whole four minutes and no one has recommended the Babyliss Big Hair. MN has changed…,

But yes, BBH

Can you use it with one hand @NeverTalkToStrangers?

Revlon One Step is cheap and works well. You can pick it up for £30.

Babyliss Big Hair - the rotating brush makes it easy to use with one hand.

However I don't have thick wavy hair - maybe someone who has will advise!

BBH is great on my straight hair. Not sure how it would work on curly.

NeverTalkToStrangers · 27/08/2021 09:11

Yes you can do the BBH one handed it’s probably a bit trickier but it’s your best bet.

Yeah Revlon one step for me too. Never used to use anything on my hair but it is very good and not expensive.

I like the BBH, but I'd say you need two hands to use it - although the dryer does the business itself, you need another hand to section the hair. There will be a YouTube video you can watch and there is a smaller barrel size for shorter hair now.

I have wondered about the flat paddle brush version of the Revlon one step for my DD, there is a version with an oval brush as well.
