How do I remove red/purple hair dye?

Dd dyed her hair with ‘temporary’ 8 wash red hair dye in the first week of the school holidays. It has faded a bit but it still rather red/purple. Her school are strict about hair being a natural colour so she is worried she’ll get into trouble even though it wasn’t supposed to last this long. Have looked online at dye removers but they all seem to say they don’t work in fashion colours esp red and purple and the ones that do seem to lightened the natural hair colour. I’ve bought some charcoal clarifying shampoo and she’s been using head and shoulders without much luck. Any suggestions?!

Bright colours such as red ca be so hard to remove. In the past I've used washing up liquid and bicarb but they do tend to dry out the hair so you'll need a good conditioner. I did use vitamin c crushed or powder mixed with head and shoulders and leave on for as long as you can. It is messy but has worked for me in the past but you might need to keep repeating it. Is there not a way she can put her hair up so its hidden or is it all over her hair? Failing all them attempts I would use the colour b4 it's very smelly but takes you back to the colour you were before.

Can she dye it again to her natural colour?
